Mark Emanuelson is an international business leader with over 20 years experience leading sales and marketing teams in the high technology, media and electronics sectors.  Mark has led successful teams and programmes that created transformational growth for the individuals involved and the companies they contributed to.  He is American born and has lived and worked internationally in both mature global markets and high growth emerging countries around the world. 


An international sales and marketing director


Most recently, Mark Emanuelson was head of commercial sales for a start-up cloud software consulting firm, Westbrook International, located in London.  Using his wealth of experience as a sales and marketing director, Mark advised executives on the best use of cloud computing to help businesses grow revenue, reduce costs, and improve operations.  His team delivered projects at some of the largest retail, electronics, media and manufacturings companies, providing 100% growth and 30% of the company’s total revenue.  Working with Westbrook, a Salesforce Premier Consulting Partner, allowed Mark to bring a qualified team of 70 consultants and developers to enable rapid and effective results for clients.


Previously, Mark Emanuelson was the European general manager for sales in the broadcast IT and professional video market for Panasonic, the largest Japanese electronics company.  In this role, he led a team of 30 sales account managers delivering €100 million euro in annual turnover across 40 countries.  He instituted a professional sales forecasting programme that helped the unit remain profitable in a challenging recession economy.  Mark worked with senior executives from all the major broadcast, production, and information technology companies in Europe.


Mark Emanuelson was also a sales director for Cisco Systems in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe.  Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking technology that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate.  Mark led a 100 person sales team across 18 countries that delivered €175 million euro in annual turnover.  Under his leadership, Mark grew revenue by 40% each year, tripling previous levels.  He led his team to improve customer coverage on 20,000 mid-market companies and build strategic plans with IT distributors and resellers.  He also instituted a successful training programme that improved solution sales to increase customer loyalty.  


Mark started with Cisco in California, where he originates from.  There, he led Internet marketing and Web development teams.  Among his many projects, Mark improved the user experience for the largest e-commerce site on the Internet at the time which generated $20 million dollars per day in electronic orders.  He also launched the first online community at Cisco which today has members from 120 countries that contribute 1,000 posts per day.


Prior to his career with Cisco, Mark Emanuelson led Internet marketing for Adaptec, another high tech firm based in California.  He managed a $5 million dollar marketing programme and improved fulfilment by 30% by replacing manual processes with online systems.  Before joining the technology sector, Mark had a six year career in the media business as a sales account manager for the largest media firms in the USA like Gannet, Scripps and others.  There, he led media sales and a telemarketing team that delivered 100% growth.


Business leader, community activist, and global citizen


Mark enjoys giving back to the community too.  He often consults with charities, social entrepreneurs and community organisations.  Mark launched an innovative education initiative in emerging markets with the United Nations Development Programme that provided turnkey technology solutions to schools and broadband access in rural communities for social inclusion and economic development.  He has also helped Habitat for Humanity build a relationship programme for major donors, created a marketing strategy for the Missing Persons Helpline, and advised a unique educational charity, the West London Floating Classroom, on how best to improve their public-private partnerships.


Mark Emanuelson is a frequent conference speaker at trade and industry events.  His presentation topics include cloud computing, international business, high tech sales, marketing, innovation, and social change through technology adoption.  He has been awarded as one of the best speakers several times at the Channel Focus Europe event where he spoke on how to leverage EU funding for economic growth.  He regularly attends conferences like the Skoll World Forum for social entrepreneurs, The Economist roundtables, and the TED conferences in the United Kingdom and India.


Mark Emanuelson earned a Master of Business Administration graduate degree with honours from the Santa Clara University located in Silicon Valley, California.  Santa Clara University ranks as one of the top 10 MBA programmes in the USA.  He has studied in Singapore at the National University earning a qualification in international trade law.  And, Mark earned a Bachelors degree in agri-business from the California Polytechnic State University.


Originally from the Silicon Valley in USA, Mark has lived in the Thames Valley UK near London for ten years with his wife and daughter.   Marks holds dual US and UK citizenship, and is open to travel and relocate around the world for the right opportunity.
